Ticket Sales Put The Amp Near Rankings Peak

The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is not only a cultural treasure and tourism driver for St. Johns County, it is one of the top venues in the world according to Pollstar Magazine, a leading concert industry trade publication.

The facility was ranked the No. 2 amphitheater in the United State and No. 3 worldwide in Pollstar’s Mid-Year Ticket Sales Report, according to a media release. The ranking covers ticket sales reported from Nov. 14, 2024 through May 14, 2025.

Pollstar compiles its rankings based on ticket sales reported by venues around the globe. The St. Augustine Amphitheatre’s position underscores its growing influence in the global live music scene – a reflection of its carefully curated programming, dedicated team, and a diverse audience that includes a loyal local fanbase as well as a remarkable 63% of ticket buyers who travel from outside St. Johns and Duval Counties to experience live music at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre, the release states.

During the six-month reporting period, the Amphitheatre hosted a top flight lineup of artists, including Diana Ross, ZZ Top, The Beach Boys, Chicago, Foreigner, and Joe Bonamassa; multi-night runs from iconic acts Willie Nelson and Widespread Panic; and sold-out shows by rising stars including Pretty Lights, WALLOWS, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, and Khruangbin, according to the release

“We’ve always believed that The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is a special place, but seeing it ranked among the top three amphitheaters in the world is a reminder of how far we’ve come,” said Gabriel Pellicer, CEO & president of SJC Cultural Events, Inc., the 501(c)3 organization that operates The St. Augustine Amphitheatre, in the release. “This ranking is not just about numbers – it’s about the artists who trust us with their performances, the fans who come to see their favorite acts, and the team that works tirelessly behind the scenes to make it all happen. We’re incredibly proud to represent St. Augustine on a global stage.”

For the second half of the 2025 season an additional 40 shows are currently booked at the Amphitheatre, setting the pace for a record-breaking year, the release staste.

“From legacy artists to fresh new voices, we strive to present a diverse mix of genres and experiences,” said Cari Baker, chief programming officer of SJC Cultural Events, in the release. “It’s incredibly rewarding to see that approach resonate with audiences, and we’re grateful to the artists and fans who make it all possible.”
