Chamber Announces Denim and Diamonds Gala

The Denim and Diamonds Gala, the signature fundraiser for the St. Johns County Chamber Foundation, will be held at Ancient City Farmstead on Tuesday, Sept. 10 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The fun-filled night includes an open-bar reception, music, dinner, a silent auction, and a live auction with great items including international travel experiences, exclusive events and tickets to local attractions.

Isabelle Renault, president and CEO, described the event that raises funds for leadership development and workforce initiatives as an investment in the people and businesses that keep our community strong.

“The gala is one night, but its impact lasts all year through the foundation’s work on attainable housing, workforce education and leadership development,” she said. “Every dollar raised through Denim and Diamonds helps the foundation expand its reach and grow programs like Leadership St. Johns by providing additional scholarship funds to give more local leaders access to this impactful program.”

The St. Johns County Chamber Foundation supports the community through leadership training, educational opportunities and economic development programs. Its mission includes providing scholarships for the Leadership St. Johns program, developing a skilled workforce, and maintaining an emergency fund for businesses affected by economic disruptions or natural disasters.

Morrie Maple, chair of the chamber foundation’s board of directors, said that the nonprofit organization is funded through “the generosity of our business community. Every sponsorship, ticket and auction item sold directly supports the foundation’s mission to develop local leaders, strengthen our workforce, and stand by businesses in times of crisis.”

The Chamber of Commerce represents more than 900 businesses from sectors including manufacturing, hospitality, real estate and professional services. It focuses on economic development, public policy and business education to create an environment where businesses can grow.
